It wasn’t until seven years after his death that Shakespeare’s plays were gathered together in a prestigious Folio volume. 19 of the plays had previously been published in single quarto editions. With the help of two Globe actors, John Wolfson, the Honorary Curator of Rare Books at Shakespeare’s Globe, will give examples of some of the lines and speeches in quarto editions that were omitted in the Folio. He will also discuss the relative values of a complete copy of a Folio versus those that lack several leaves.
