Synopsis

Calling all brave adventurers, animal lovers and wilderness wanderers!

Award winning author Lauren St John grew up on a farm and game reserve in Zimbabwe, had a pet giraffe, two warthogs called Miss Piggy and Bacon, pythons, a goat named Goat, scores of horses, dogs and cats.

Lauren’s books are filled with adventure, animals and brave characters. Her latest book Kat Wolfe Investigates features all of these: a great mystery, friendship, freedom and a fierce wild cat! Come and join us as Lauren talks about Kat Wolfe, and find out how her own childhood adventures and experiences inspire her writing today.

Would you like to know how you could become an adventure writer? Guardian Journalist Imogen Russell-Williams will also be joining Lauren to field all your questions too!

Suitable for ages 9+

Psst...want to find out what it's like having a giraffe? Check out a Q&A with Lauren herself.

Stay and Play...

Why not stick around and put some of Lauren's tips to the test. Try your hand at writing in our Sonnet Workshop with Joseph Coelho.
