‘Mad, subversive, anti-festive brilliance...Describing it doesn’t do it justice. Go see it’

‘A supremely crafted show from a woman with an extraordinary voice and a wickedly witty offbeat sense of humour. Meow Meow is one Christmas present that won’t disappoint’

Background

Meow Meow returns to Shakespeare’s Globe for a Christmas show like no other. Following her appearance in Emma Rice’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream in 2016, the post-modern cabaret sensation brings her hilarious and heart-wrenching festive extravaganza to the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.

This most untraditional of Christmas shows combines moments of hare-brained hijinks with poignant and tender reflections on loneliness, lost dreams and the apocalypse. You will not want to miss this chaotic whirlwind of a show, full of wit and surprises, all played out in the majestic setting of the Playhouse.

This show is recommended for ages 14+
