Experience Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank: A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the Globe Theatre. This fast-paced, 90-minute version is created especially for young people and is the perfect introduction to Shakespeare.
In the city, the rules are strict, and no-one is free to do what they want. But in the ancient wood nearby, where fairies and magic live on, everything is different.
A group of amateur performers rehearse a play, fairies and animals run riot and four lovers must leave behind digital comforts to take on their biggest challenge yet: nature. Come and see if they can all find their way through the forest, where everything changes and nothing is as it seems…
The Globe’s Director of Education Lucy Cuthbertson (Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank: Romeo and Juliet, Olivier Award-nominated Rough Magic) directs Shakespeare’s tale of love, mischief and transformation.
Lord, what fools these mortals be!
– Act III, scene 2
