The Studio at Shakespeare’s Globe is our programme of professional development for actors and directors. Offered exclusively to The Studio Community, our training uses unique Globe practices to explore your craft from new angles.

Featuring a range of intensive courses and one-off workshops, the programme has options for everyone, whether you are new to Shakespeare or view him as an old friend.

Have completed an accredited undergraduate or master’s degree

Introduction to Indoor Playing

Explore the unique playing conditions of our indoor theatre, the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, and develop your craft as a director with this intensive three-day course. Work with theatre director and Professor Rob Swain and fellow directors to explore practical ways to create work in this distinctive space and have the opportunity to direct a short scene under candlelight.
